We shot a promotional campaign for P.A.V.E. (Promoting Awareness and Victim Empowerment) for their annual fashion show on September 27th. Featured in the picture is Maxim model, April Rose, who is also a crisis counselor for the cause. For more information about the organization, please visit http://www.pavingtheway.net.

Martha's Vineyard

4th of July is one of my favorite holidays and what better place to spend it than in Martha's Vineyard... These are medium format, cross-processed images shot in Aquinnah (meaning "land below the cliffs") on a very cool foggy morning. After several days of eating non-stop (mainly, lobster, fried clams and ice cream) it's definitely time to hit the gym.

Dubai

Home to the world’s tallest building, Dubai boasts some of the most innovative building styles and structures. The Burj Dubi, designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill with lead architect Adrian Smith, is one of the city's most notable buildings. While the actual height of the building remains a secret, it has been noted that the amount of concrete used to make the Burj Dubi would be equivalent to 1,200 miles of sidewalk! The surrounding area is a massive construction zone. This particular shot was taken next to the Dubai Mall in the (very) hot desert.

Art Institute - The New Modern Wing

We shot Joe Rosa, Curator of Architecture & Design at The Art Institute for the latest edition of Chicago Architect magazine. He's pictured above in the new Modern Wing which is scheduled to open to the public on May 16th.

South Africa - Part I

Just returned from an amazing trip to South Africa! We're looking forward to heading back to Cape Town in mid-February to shoot once again in the summer weather.

My favorite clients - the giraffes...

Napa Valley, CA

We just got back from an awesome trip to Napa & Sonoma. I'm working on a really cool new wine book and finally made it out to the west coast to start shooting. Many thanks go out to LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy), who owns Domaine Chandon. We were given the VIP tour and able to capture the true atmosphere of the vineyard.



We would also like to show our gratitude to Francis Ford Coppola's winery (Rosso & Bianco). Specifically, Norberto, a 24-year veteran of the property who gave us a private tour of the operations. We visited a number of other great wineries: James Cole Winery, Hartwell Winery, The Robinson Family Winery, and Baldacci Winery. Jessica Pfeufer at Baldacci was a huge asset to us and instrumental in organizing the entire trip... we definitely need a studio here.

Beijing, China

Both of these images are from one my favorite places that I photographed in China - Green T. Living. The owner, JinR, is a world renown musician, artist and master chef. She's a fascinating woman who very much represents the "new" China.
